However, another site claims it’s not a controlled substance, so it’s not a big deal:
Soma (Carisoprodol HCL) has a first pass metabolite which is Meprobamate ( a barbituric acid LIKE substance). This can trigger a positive EMIT screening test (urine) but will likely NOT be confirmed on follow-up GC-MS testing unless they are looking specifically for it’s presence. SOMA is not a scheduled Federal Controlled Substance but CAN cause dependance and impairment.
So the simple answer is no, it will not show up on a standard drug test.

It’ll probably show up in your drug screen, but dont freak out. How much of the carisoprodol did you take? How much water did you drink? Your drug test should be almost instantaneous…
Explain the situation to your lawyer. Call him/her up first thing tomorrow and let them know what happened. They’ll be able to advise you. If you have a nice probabtion officer, you may want to just be honest with them. But definately consult with your lawyer first. If you dont have one, ask for a court-appointed lawyer!

On drug test, I think they have to test for each specific drug, I don’t think they can just magically see just anything you took.
I’m almost positive they don’t test specifically for carisoprodol on the majority of drug tests.
Most drug tests test for a select type of drugs known as the NIDA-5. It tests for marijuana, opiates (codiene, hydrocodone, heroin, oxycodone, etc.), amphetamines/methamphetamines, and PCP.
Carisoprodol isn’t any of those drugs or types of drugs so i’m sure you will be okay.
